[Advice] Planning a 14-day honeymoon across Iceland, Germany, Netherlands, and France — where do I start?

My fiancé (23M) and I (22F) are planning our honeymoon for late June 2026, leaving from the U.S. (near Indianapolis/Chicago/Louisville). We’ve never been abroad before and would love to keep the trip around $5,000 total if possible (using points to help). We are willing to do $6-7,000, but would prefer to only splurge where necessary.

Our goals: • 14 days total (leaving June 28–30, 2026) • Countries: Iceland → Germany → Netherlands → France (or whatever order makes the most sense / cheapest) • Mix of romantic + sightseeing, especially in Paris • Prefer no driving, but open to trains, flights, or ferries • Would like to use ~100,000 Capital One points (possibly for flights) • Stay in mid-range hotels or Airbnbs, nothing super fancy

We’d love tips or personal experience on: • The best route order for price + efficiency • How to use points most effectively (book through Capital One vs transfer to airlines) • Where to find cheap but reliable flights/trains between these countries • How to budget realistically for this kind of trip • Any must-see stops or hidden gems along that route

We’re total first-timers to international travel and want to plan smartly without overspending. Any advice, itinerary examples, or “lessons learned” from people who’ve done a similar multi-country Europe trip would mean a lot! 🙏
