Affordable European beach location?

I am getting married next year, and we’re currently trying to decide on a mini moon location for immediately after the wedding (August). We are hoping to do a Caribbean cruise/holiday in February/March when we are out of hurricane season, so looking for an affordable beach location for a few days after the ceremony.

I have been looking at Greece & the Balearic Islands, but I can’t decide which island to choose. We would be looking for a relaxing break but with the opportunity to do things like explore local villages, see the wildlife & nature of the island or water activities.

Any recommendations? TIA
