African Safari Honeymoon Help – 2027

Hi! I’m getting married in October 2026 and my fiance and I are looking to do an African safari.

I have a background in hospitality/events so I am usually THAT girl when it comes to planning trips. I’m talking about detailed itineraries with restaurants/bars broken up into each neighborhood, etc. However I feel a bit overwhelmed for trying to plan this honeymoon.

It will be both our first time in Africa. Open to countries and dates and probably thinking two weeks maximum (coming from LA & open to do a couple days in London or somewhere to help break up the travel if needed)

Ideally we’d love to do mostly safaris with a couple days on a beach to relax before heading home. Countries we are looking at include South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania (+ Zanzibar as beach), & Madagascar.

I feel like South Africa would be the easiest to plan but my heart is kind of pulling towards Kenya and Tanzania.
