Aruba vs Curacao – where to stay

Hello, I am looking at Aruba or Curacao for our honeymoon in September. We want a pretty relaxing vacation, where we can just hangout on the beach and chill and maybe do some snorkeling. We don't really need vibrant, city night life. I am hoping to get some input on which island would be best for this and places to stay.

We are considering the following options, but want to know if there are other places that seem like they would fit our vibe:

Aruba:

  • Riu Palace Antillas – like that this is adults only, but seems like it is in the busiest part of Aruba; nice that is it all inclusive, but reviews seem to say food is just okay
  • Bucuti – like that is adults only as well; this seems like a quieter area of Aruba, which appeals to me, but pricey to not be all inclusive

Are there any other places in the Eagle Beach area that we should look at?

Curacao

  • Sandals Royal Curacao – like that this is adults only and away from the busy area, but saw some photos that make it look like the beach only faces a peninsula – are there any expansive ocean views? this one seems to have more things to do that are included compared to Riu Palace Antillas and is slightly cheaper

Should we look closer to the town in Curacao?

Other Questions:

  • Are mosquitoes a concern in September in Curacao?
  • How is the airport experience when leaving in Aruba vs Curacao? Would be returning to the US
  • We'd be up for a day trip 1 or 2 of the days while we are there. What would be worth while to do at either island?

Thank you!
