My husband and I actually got married in 2016 but it was a tiny little wedding and we never really got a real honeymoon because of our life situation. We always said we'd have a real wedding someday in the future but now that it's the future, we realized we just want to celebrate us instead!
2026 will be our 10 year wedding anniversary and 20 years together and I want to do something really special together! I think I could budget up to $7,500 for a week trip but it would be ideal if it's a bit cheaper. Flying from Colorado, USA. Our anniversary is mid-May so it would be great to do it then but we're flexible.
I have no idea where to start. I would love something that takes away anxiety of planning and too much thinking so it initially seems like all inclusive would be fun, but he's sober and I don't really drink so AI might be a waste.
No cruises because we both hate huge crowds! We love history so I think Europe or Asia could be fun but we're open to beaches. We lived in Japan for a few years and love it, but if we went there we'd definitely want something more like AI. Good food is a must because we're foodies.
Thank you for the help on this pretty unhelpful request!
