Aus-based couple seeking July Honeymoon

Hello all!

I (28M) live in Australia and am getting married to my fiancée (26F) in late June, hoping for a July honeymoon. Budget of maybe $10k AUD.

For length, I originally wanted to go backpacking/adventuring for maybe up to three months. I'm still rethinking the scope and length of our trip, but I could settle for maybe one month. A mix of budget accommodation with the occasional relaxing nice hotel stay would be good.

We're very adventurous and active and like to pack our trips full of excitement and variety. We're huge foodies so interesting cuisine is always top of mind. However we also want to control the pace and take a day or two to relax here and there. Still, we're very uninterested in the 'fly and flop' type of travel.

I'm thinking either Asia, South America or Eastern Europe. We hate humidity (Japan in summer taught us that) and rain so most of Asia is probably off the cards. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance!
