I am currently planning me and my fiancee's honeymoon for June 2026. Specifically June 15th through June 22nd/23rd. I am currently looking at the St Regis or possibly the Four Seasons and the potential to do 5 nights in Bora Bora and 2-3 nights in Moorea at the Hilton. Im trying to find the booking options that make the most sense with my points profile. I found the following options thus far:
Costco Travel: Currently around $14,500 total for two people. 4 nights at St Regis Bora Bora and 3 nights at the Hilton Moorea. This includes economy airfare on Air Tahiti Nui, breakfast and dinner, and a few other extras. This is enticing for the "kinda inclusive" vibe. However, I feel that its a waste doing this with the amount of points I have and hotel/airline points and status
Booking Direct: I found round trip airfare on Air France in business class for 318,000 Amex Points Transfer. St Regis shows 619k Marriott points for 5 nights, so I am already out of my points and it doesn't include any of the meals that Costco does.
Other option/travel agent: I haven't looked into this part yet, I am unsure of what the best option would be for my trip.
My ask: how do I use my points most efficiently to have a great honeymoon in Bora Bora while reducing out of pocket cost. I personally feel that I have quite a lot of points to play with that should avoid me paying $15k out of pocket. Could I potentially get another credit card to get points from wedding purchases (est. $50k) to help out?
American Express: 460k
Marriott (Titanium): 150k
American Airlines (Platinum): 50k
Fiancee's Capital One: 75k
