Budget Friendly Honeymoon Spots and Travel Agencies

My fiancé and I are attempting to plan a honeymoon and struggling. Our wedding in in Fall 2026 so we need to get on it lol

I have experience traveling, but I've always done it through EF Ultimate Break where it's all planned out for you, flights and hotels are included BUT they only do group trips and we would rather have it just be the two of us.

I have already been to England, Scotland, Southern Italy, Greece & Japan.

He hasn't traveled out of the country much, but went with me to Japan.

I would love to go back to Greece because it's not too expensive and I absolutely adored my time there in the past, but he wants to go somewhere that could be a new experience for both of us.

He is leaning towards Denmark/Norway/Sweden and I am down for this, but I'm nervous about these places being a bit too pricey for us.

I'm considering Ireland? Maybe?

We would like to keep the total cost to $8,000 and below, but I don't know if this is going to be feasible. EF really altered what my expectations are for traveling costs lol

Any suggestions are welcome! Places, agencies you loved, anything.

Extra info in case it helps:

– We live in the Midwest so flying out of Chicago

– We aren't big on all inclusive resorts. They seem relaxing, but we are antsy people and would get bored just sitting by a beach all day.

– We aren't against tropical experiences, but it wouldn't be our top choice necessarily.

– We love a mix of cultural experiences, natural scenic views, and history.

– I am a fairly anxious person, so countries where it is normal to have fairly aggressive salespeople trying to sell you things would not bode well. I don't know how to say no and would definitely get overwhelmed. Italy wasn't TOO bad because it was mostly hustlers that I did not feel bad saying no to. But people who are trying to sell their actual wares and just trying to make a living, I get guilted into very easily. So probably best to avoid😅 (hoping this doesn't make me sound like a terrible person lol)
