My wife and I are looking to fly from Rome to an island for 4 nights for our honeymoon. The dates would be April 6-10th. We want to stick to an island as it’s only a 4 day trip.
Our options that we’ve narrowed down are:
Santorini Shoulder season but seems like a fair amount is still open and will be less busy which seems like a bonus. Plus we can stay in “honeymoon worthy suites” luxury places with private hot tubs etc for cheaper than peak season. What worries us is the amount of things to do other than explore the towns. Also the longest and most expensive flights.
Malta We know very little but cheap and quick flights. Can stay at some fairly nice resorts for a descent price. We know very little about the island and what there is to do. We have been to Mallorca and loved it and looks kind of similar.
Canary Islands Tenerife or Las Palomas. Again know very little about the islands. Looks beautiful and seems to have the best weather in Europe for the time of year. Affordable direct flights.
Appreciate any info on places from your travels like where to stay etc. And your vote on which is best!
