Cancun vs Aruba for Honeymoon?

Hello, my fiancé and I are planning a destination for a two week honeymoon. We are looking at 9 days in either Cancun or Aruba; and then 5 days in New York. The honeymoon will take place in mid December to early January. We will already be in Puerto Vallarta in Mexico.

Anyone been to either places? What would you recommend for a honeymoon? We look at the prices, comfortable clear blue tropical beaches, soft sand, delicious food (I'm vegetarian), romance and just good vibes.
