Caribbean or playa mujeres -August 5k budget

Getting married this August and need a little help deciding. We originally wanted to go to st Lucia, but we’d be flying out of DFW and hurricane season kinda worries us, especially with the lack of a direct flight. So we looked at atelier playa mujeres and it looks nice but now I’m worried about the sargassum.

Is the sargassum that bad? Are my concerns about hurricane season valid? And is there a different spot we should consider? We want all inclusive with dining variety and good quality food, which is how we started to look at atelier but I’ve heard great things about st Lucia and Jamaica and see them recommended a lot, just don’t know about the timing. what are y’all’s thoughts?
