Hello all, I am newly engaged (22F), (24M Fiancé ). I am freshly out of college and my fiancé is a year graduated. We went to the same university. We are set to get married in November of 2025. I am coming to you because I have always, always, always dreamed of vacationing in Italy. This is my only dream as far as a wedding goes- I never made a pintrest board of it in middle school or anything like that. I only want to go to Italy.
My fiancé and my future MIL have been heavily discouraging the idea of an italian honeymoon, citing price as the problem. We have a $4,500 budget and I’m considering having a honeymoon fund instead of a gift registry at our wedding. I don’t want to sound ungrateful or like that for having the ability to go on a honeymoon at all. I am moreso just upset because I have already compromised on having a fall wedding instead of a spring one because they told me the flights would be cheaper to get to Europe. I hope I don’t sound all over the place… I am just looking for some advice. I’m the first in my family to be engaged/ getting married out of my siblings and my family isn’t sure how to even begin this process.
Long story short, do any of you have tips on going from ATL to Italy in the cheapest manner possible, while still enjoying ourselves? I don’t want to give up on this dream 🥹
