My fiance and I are planning our honeymoon in Europe from October 5th and on. We'll be starting our trip at Amsterdam as I will be leaving a work event in Norway.
Flights seem to be relatively cheap around $100 USD one way to most places in Europe. We can utilize CC points for hotel bookings so our only budget constraints would be spending money and food. We want to spend the rest of our days of our trip relaxing somewhere either on a beach or a place with nice scenery and cool towns to meander through. We are debating where to do this. We have considered South of France, Italy, Greece or Spanish islands – but are struggling to narrow down where specifically fits our requirements:
- Warm weather in October
- Beautiful beaches/ swimming
- Great wine and food
- Cool towns to visit and do some shopping and walking through and taking it all in
Does anyone have any recommendations or favorite places for a relaxing romantic getaway? For what it is worth, we have been to Paris, Munich, Lisbon, and Barcelona recently so those would likely not work.
