Fiancé and I are trying to decide between a cruise or New Orleans

Fiance and I are trying to decide between going on a honeymoon to the Bahamas with a cruise for 3 nights or doing three nights in New Orleans.

We’ve never done either before. He is open to both but says that a cruise is just swimming on a boat which we could do at a beach or pool nearby. And I am kinda confused because I see where he is coming from. Both would also be almost the same price.
