Fiji honeymoon in March advice for best weather and resort picks

Hi all,

My partner and I are planning our honeymoon in Fiji from March 5 to March 16 and would really appreciate some guidance from people who know the islands well.

We understand this is during the rainy and cyclone season, so we are going in with realistic expectations. That said, we would love to choose an area that gives us the best possible chance of sunny days, blue skies, and clear water, rather than long stretches of grey cloud.

We are looking for:

• A really beautiful island or resort suitable for a honeymoon
• As much sunshine as possible for that time of year
• Somewhere that tends to get short tropical showers rather than all day rain and heavy cloud

A few questions for those who have been in March:

• Are the Mamanuca or Yasawa islands noticeably better for sunshine compared with other parts of Fiji at that time?
• In reality, is March usually a mix of hot sun with passing storms, or do you often get full days of overcast skies?
• Any specific resorts you would recommend for a honeymoon in those areas that balance romance, nice beaches, and decent weather odds?

We are happy to accept some rain and humidity, we just want to avoid spending our honeymoon under constant cloud if there are areas that historically do better.
