Florida keys alternatives?

Hi everyone 🙂 does anyone have any recommendations for a honeymoon in the continental US that is similar to the florida keys/florida beaches? My wedding is at the end of August and with current events, I feel very uncomfortable giving my money to florida with the recent construction of "Alligator Alcatraz," etc. I felt uncomfortable with Floridas political climate before this, but that really is the final straw for me.

We really just want to have a beautiful beach vacation with pretty waters. I really liked that the Keys had snorkeling and activities, but Im not suuuper picky. Any ideas? :')

Edit: budget is cheap! Ideally like $2000 for 4 or 5 days. Thank you!
