Help! China–Tibet–Indonesia Honeymoon in August — Concerned About Weather

Hi everyone,

My partner and I have planned our honeymoon for this August, covering China, Tibet, and Indonesia. Here’s our rough China itinerary:

• Beijing • Shanghai • Zhangjiajie – Furong – Fenghuang • Yangshuo & Longji Rice Terraces • Chongqing (to fly to Tibet)

We’ll spend 5 days in Tibet, and then fly to Indonesia for the final leg of the trip.

We’re a bit concerned after reading mixed reviews about the weather in China during August — particularly around rain, humidity, and general travel comfort. Can anyone with experience in these regions help us figure out:

1. Which of these areas are likely to have unbearable weather (e.g. constant rain, oppressive humidity, or heat)? 2. Are there nearby alternatives with better weather but equally stunning experiences? 3. Should we consider cutting or swapping any stops to make the trip more enjoyable?

Any tips or advice would be massively appreciated! Thanks in advance.
