We’re a UK couple planning a 3-week honeymoon in June 2026 with a budget of £5–6k total (flights + stays + activities). We want a mix of adventure (diving, hiking, culture, food) and a few luxe nights (private pool/overwater vibes if possible).
We know June is rainy in parts of SE Asia, but it looks like Gulf Thailand (Samui/Phangan/Tao) and Bali/Komodo should be decent. Would love advice on places that makes sense weather-wise, or if we should swap/skip spots to avoid storms.
Draft Itinerary (places we have in mind):
Indonesia: Bali, Ubud, Uluwatu. Flores, Lombok, Gili Islands, Nusa Penida, Yogyakarta.
Thailand: Koh Samui/Koh Phangan/Koh Tao, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, (possibly Phuket).
Questions: Is June weather reliable enough for both places? Best routing (open-jaw flights UK→Bali, out via Bangkok?) Must-do tours to prebook (Komodo boat, ethical elephants, Bali driver)? Any “looks amazing online but meh in June” spots we should skip?
About us: mid 20s, love food, beaches, hiking, diving, snorkelling and peacefulness.
