HM Dilemma: is 8 days in Bawah Reserve perfect? Or just too long?

Hi everyone!

My fiancé and I (both early 30s) from Paris are planning our honeymoon for end of June 2026.

Our main priorities: 1️⃣ We want something restful, romantic, and paradisiac, but I also love a touch of discovery and culture. 2️⃣ We don’t love moving around too much, don’t want to feel rushed.

We’re torn between two itineraries in Indonesia and would love advice and thoughts

Option 1 – looove the destinations but maybe too much moving, and little time in Bawah (considering this is a honeymoon) • 2 nights Singapore (I was thinking MO) • 4 nights Amanjiwo • 1 night Batam (overnight to catch the early Bawah flight) • 6 nights Bawah Reserve • 1 night Singapore before flying home

Option 2 – More restful and we want to disconnect in Bawah or do we risk of getting bored at Bawah 😂? And maybe less variety? And is KL a good idea? • 2 nights Kuala Lumpur (EQ or FS to recover from jet lag) • 1 night Batam • 8 nights Bawah Reserve • 3 nights Singapore

Would love thoughts from anyone who’s done either or both, especially: • Is Amanjiwo truly worth it? • How’s 8 nights in Bawah — too long, or perfect for a honeymoon? • Would you include KL or just do round flight to Singapur?

Thanks in advance for any advice or personal experiences! 💛
