Honeymoon Help: Cancun Luxury Resort Decision (4 Days, $6k Budget + some Vegetarian Needs)

Hi everyone! My partner and I (recently married in India!) are planning a 4-day honeymoon in Cancun (May 6–10, 2024) and need help finalizing our resort. We’ve narrowed it down but would love input from those with firsthand experience.

Key Priorities:

  1. Luxury & Romance: Private pools, spa access, and intimate vibes are a must.
  2. Beach Quality: Clean with minimal seaweed. “Relaxing but not boring” is our vibe! We can't swim 🙂
  3. Food: Vegetarian-friendly fine dining is critical (my wife is vegetarian). Buffets are okay, but quality > quantity.
  4. Activities: Light options like mixology classes, sunset cruises, or spa days—no heavy adventure/eco-parks.
  5. Budget: $6k total for 4 days (excluding flights). Open to stretching slightly if worth it.

Options We’re Debating:

  • IF we go with Xcaret, should be break it down into 2 stay given La casa de la paya is 9K for 4 nights or Split Stay: 2 nights at Xcaret Arte + 2 nights at La Casa de la Playa (worried about time wasted transferring)?
  • All-Inclusive: Excellence Playa Mujeres vs. Le Blanc Spa Resort vs Xcaret Arte for 4 nights?

Questions for the Community:

  1. Which resort offers the best dining with veg option?
  2. Night activities or fun aspects in the hotel? We do want some activity?
  3. Are we missing any resorts that fit our needs (e.g., Beloved, Rosewood)?
  4. How much is concierge or butler help?

Bonus Context:

  • We’re flying from India, so jetlag might hit—easy relaxation is key!
  • Honeymoon perks (romantic dinners, room upgrades) would be amazing.

Thank you in advance—we’re overwhelmed but excited! 🌸

Aslo should I book via Amex Platinum or directly via portal?
