Honeymoon Hunting With Nearly 1M Points: Where Would You Go?

Hello everyone!

I’m in honeymoon hunting season & would really love to get some suggestions. Fiancé & I would be going in June 2026 flying out of NYC area airports (EWR, LGA, JFK). We were debating on Hawaii (Maui or Kauai), Maldives, or a nice beach location in Europe. Perhaps French Riviera as Amex & Air France can work together? Open to other really nice places as well.

I’m looking to use a combination of my Chase & Amex points. I understand that Hyatt is my almost definitely the best route for Chase but this would be my first redemption on the Amex point side & was always told flights is the way to go for them.

Point balance:

Chase Points: 400,000

Amex Points: 515,000

(Also have 140,000 in United Miles)

Didn’t think I would have an issue flying anywhere I want to in first/business class but now starting to realize I only have a certain number of options based on Amex transfer partners (wanted to do Hawaii but Amex took away Alaska partnership in June of this year so that’s disappointing).

Help on this is immensely appreciated as I don’t want to wait much longer the time is coming a lot faster than anticipated!
