Honeymoon in Late May – Caribbean or Mexico? Seeking Recommendations!

I’ve posted here before about Aruba and Curaçao, but I figured it would be better to explain exactly what we’re looking for, our dates, and get some personalized suggestions.

We are planning our honeymoon for the end of May, and we’re considering destinations in the Caribbean or Mexico (excluding the DR since I’ve been there).

We’re looking for:

• All-inclusive resorts • White sand beaches • Crystal-clear water • Good food 

Our main goal is to relax by the beach or pool without worrying about anything else.

Concern:

I’m a bit worried because hurricane season officially starts June 1st, and May also marks the start of the rainy season in many islands. Since our trip will be less than a week, we’d prefer destinations that are drier in May to minimize rain.

Destinations We’re Considering:

Here’s a list of places I’ve looked into so far, ranked by the average number of rainy days in May:

1. Aruba: 2-3 days 2. Cancun: 3-8 days 3. Riviera Maya: 6-7 days 4. Turks and Caicos: 9 days 5. Cozumel: 10 days 6. Negril: 11 days 7. St. Lucia: 12 days 

I’d love to hear your suggestions or experiences with any of these destinations! Are there other places you’d recommend for what we’re looking for?
