Honeymoon in May 2026 in Bungalow

Hi everyone!

I'm just starting to do some research for our honeymoon in May 2026! I'd love to go somewhere relaxing and have been looking into St. Lucia, which seems to be the most cost effective combined with quality. In a perfect world, I'd love to go somewhere like Bora Bora or the Maldives, but we are looking to spend no more than around $5,000. I'd LOVE to stay in an over-the-water bungalow, but was wondering if that would be completely out of my budget anywhere, or if there might be an option out there that you all know about and would recommend! I'm also willing to hear opinions to talk me out of the bungalow to spend more on the quality of the resort. I know there's so many destinations out there, so it's a little overwhelming to comb through every option, and I'm hoping your personal experiences/opinions might help me out. 🙂 TIA!
