Honeymoon in Portugal vs Australia for relaxation/food?

We are in the US and are in the beginning stages of planning our honey moon and right now we are trying to decide where we want to go. Our ideal vacation is amazing food (beef and seafood ideally) and relaxing preferably with a clean beach. I have been looking at Portugal and Australia heavily, leaning towards Portugal because it seems like we can get more bang for our buck there plus we have never been outside the North Americas and it seems much more of a difference than Australia.

I like to adventure but she does not, so that’s not really a worry for me because I’m sure in either place I can find enough to get my fill. Alcohol is about the same, I love it she doesn’t but again I can easily get my fill. Neither of us are social and prefer less crowds not really looking for a night life. We aren’t going to be upset if there are tourists but definitely prefer less people especially children.

Going in the summer seems ideal for either place so we can really enjoy the beach (wife is very skinny and gets cold easily). We’re from Texas so very used to the heat and humidity. Am I wrong in leaning towards Portugal? Is there anything I should be considering between the two besides price?
