Honeymoon to Italy for $7K???

My fiancé and I are torn between a national-parks honeymoon in California or Hawaii — or our dream: Italy! We’ve always wanted to go and would plan to be there about 10 days. Has anyone traveled there and had a great experience while keeping it under $7K? We’re thinking a few days on the coast and a few in the countryside, doing mostly low-cost or free activities. Any tips on when to book flights, where to stay, or good Airbnb areas? We are also debating waiting a year after we get married to do our honeymoon trip If Italy isn’t feasible at this price, but we don’t wanna have to. also any other places similar to Italy that anyone knows of, be happy to hear about that too!!
