Hi everyone! My partner and I are planning our honeymoon for August 2026 (about 20 days), and we’d love some feedback on our itinerary and pacing. We’re aiming for a mix of romance, food, culture, and some downtime — without rushing everywhere.
Here’s what we have so far:
Paris — 4 nights • First stop to get into the honeymoon vibe • Light sightseeing, Seine dinner cruise, Montmartre, some good food
Amalfi Coast (Praiano/Positano area) — 3 nights • Boat to Capri, Ravello, beach time
Rome — 3 nights (possibly 4) • Major highlights (Colosseum, Vatican), food & wine in Trastevere
Tuscany countryside (Val d’Orcia) — 4 nights • Wineries (Brunello + Montepulciano), spa time, slow days, sunsets and photos
Florence — 2 nights (possibly 3) • Uffizi, Accademia, classic Florence views
Modena — 2 nights • Food pilgrimage (CML and OF), balsamic & Ferrari museum • Flight home from Bologna
Hoping to land around €20–25k total for both of us (mid/high range honeymoon), including: • hotels (mostly already booked) • transportation • meals (with a few Michelin spots) • experiences (boat, wineries, museums, etc.)
Wondering if it’s too rushed and if we should skip Amalfi. We’re from a tropical country so unsure whether Amalfi is worth it or not.
We’d love constructive feedback from people who have been to these spots — especially thoughts on pacing, weather in mid-August, and whether the split between cities and countryside feels right.
Thanks so much in advance!
