My fiancé (30m) and I (26f) love to travel. How do we differentiate our honeymoon trip to be different/special from our other trips? We've been together about two and a half years, and have taken quite a handful of trips together. Typically, when we go someplace new, we like to check out local cuisines, visit history and art museums, check out any zoos, and, if they have a team, catch a Major League Baseball game. We have been out of the country together once on a cruise to Mexico last year. I guess I am wondering what makes it a honeymoon trip versus a regular vacation? As much as I would love to take a week off work following the wedding to go immediately, I am a teacher getting married in the middle of the school year, and that is just not possible. Is it just whatever is the first vacation we take after getting married? Should we build more time to relax on a beach somewhere instead of our typical routine of exploring a new place? Should we make the trip bigger than one we've ever done?
