My fiance and I are trying to plan a honeymoon for the last 2 weeks of March 2026 (dates not confirmed, but between 3/22 -4/4), and neither of us have ever been to Italy. We have a budget of around $10k total, and we'd really love to spend 7-10 days in Italy and see 2-3 different regions. We are trying to avoid the summer crowds and heat, but this might mean we need to be more thoughtful about the places we visit.
We definitely want to spend a few days in Rome, and then cannot decide if it is better to go to a coastal area or to Tuscany for the more "romantic" parts of the trip. We are not super interested in Venice or Dolomites. Ideally, we'd be able to do Amalfi coast or Puglia, but not sure of the weather at this time.
Thoughts or suggestions?
Travel agent recs?
We want to prioritize good food, history, culture, and romance.
Thank you!
