My wife and I are in the midst of planning our honeymoon, and we're going to try to do a 2 week long trip to both Italy and Scotland. I'm wondering if the rough itinerary I have listed below makes sense as far as spending enough time in each city and not feeling too rushed (although we know based on what we're trying to do there will be a lot of lost time to travel). We also know to watch out for Jubilee (hence why we're going to Florence first) but if there's anything else we should watch out for let me know! This will be during October of 2025.
Day 1: Arrive in Florence in am
Day 2-3: Florence (maybe squeezing in a day trip to a vineyard?)
Day 4: Train from Florence to Rome
Day 5-7: Rome
Day 8: Flight from Rome to Edinburgh
Day 9: Rental Car Inverness to Edinburgh
Day 10: Inverness (scotch distillery tours?)
Day 11: Rental Car Inverness to Portree
Day 12: Portree (general Isle of Skye)
Day 13: Rental Car Portree to Edinburgh
Day 14: Edinburgh
Day 15: Flight home in afternoon
