Japan + Hawaii honeymoon advice (Feb–Mar 2026): ski + beach, ~2 weeks

Hi all! We’re planning our honeymoon for late February/early March 2026. The idea is to ski in northern Japan and then stop in Hawaii on the way home for beach time. We’re aiming for at least 2 weeks.

What we’re looking for • Japan: Ski-focused; we’re fine skipping Tokyo this trip and saving it for a future visit. • Hawaii: A relaxing resort vibe but with access to snorkeling and fun excursions. We’ve heard Kauai is amazing, but we’re open to any island.

Questions for the pros • Suggested regions/mountains in northern Japan for late Feb/early Mar? • Sample itineraries that fit a 2+ week Japan → Hawaii plan? • Hawaii resort recommendations with great snorkeling and easy day trips (Kauai vs. Maui vs. Big Island)? • Any routing/flight or timing tips for Japan → Hawaii on the way back?
