I got married about 6 weeks ago and we haven’t planned our honeymoon. I really don’t want to put it off until next year and I am planning to start a new job in September. I know it’s last minute but July/August would be best. Greece was my first choice (Athens and Crete) as it has historical sites, food, wine and the beach, but everyone says that July/August is the worst time to go due to crowds and heat. I wish we had been more on top of things as I hear April and May in Greece are great! Do you all have any suggestions? We don’t want to do nothing for the whole trip so I think a places like the Maldives or Bali are out. We like food and drinking with a balance of relaxing and sightseeing. Warm weather but not miserable heat. I like a nice beach but I love a nice pool. We would like to go for about 2 weeks and spend 8-10k for flight and accommodations. Any suggestions?
