July Honeymoon in South Africa Itinerary – Need Some Advice!

We’re planning our honeymoon in South Africa and would love some input on our itinerary. Here’s what we’re thinking so far:

• 4 days in Cape Town: Staying at The Winchester Hotel by Newmark. We want to explore Table Mountain, the V&A Waterfront, and some surrounding areas. • 4 days in Wilderness: Xanadu Guest Villa. We’re looking forward to experiencing the beauty of Wilderness National Park and its nearby beaches. • 3 days in Plettenberg Bay: Emily Moon River Lodge. Looking to relax and take in the coastal beauty, maybe a visit to Tsitsikamma National Park as well. • 2 days in a Private Game Reserve (either): 1. Mount Camedeboo Private Game Reserve 2. Camp Figtree by The Oyster 3. Bukela Game Lodge at Amakhala Game Reserve 

Questions:

1. Should we shorten our time in Cape Town and Plettenberg Bay by a day each, and add 2 days in either Hermanus or Betty’s Bay? Considering places like: • Ridge House (double room) or • OnTheRocksBB (solar-powered guesthouse with ocean views). 2. Alternatively, should we add 2 days at Botlierskop Private Game Reserve before Wilderness instead of the last 2 days? 

Any thoughts on this itinerary or recommendations for a more balanced experience? Would love to hear from anyone who’s been to these places!
