Hi! We are looking to plan a 2-2.5 week honeymoon in June 2024. We'd love to do a 2-part trip where we can do part adventuring/tourism activities and part luxury resort beach getaway. We are hoping for an exotic, once in a lifetime kind of vibe. We would likely be flying out of the Northeast US (NYC/Boston). We are OK with off peak, potential rainy season locations within reason.
So far I've looked at Maldives, Fiji, Bali, Bora Bora, and Seychelles, with potential to tack on a few nights in a city like Dubai, Singapore, KL, Colombo, etc.. Dubai to Maldives is a frontrunner as there are easy direct flights, but I know that Maldives is somewhat rainy in June. Also considering doing Thailand, with a combination of Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Koh Samui.
Any strong votes for what I've mentioned, or any gems I am missing?
