I have been searching for honeymoon resorts for weeks and feel like I have nothing so far. My Fiance would love to go to the Maldives but because of the time of year everything is so expensive. I can cover airfare with CC points, but we want to go for 12-14 days and out budget is only about $7-8000 USD. Does anyone know any great budget resorts? Also she originally wanted to do an overwater bungalow, does anyone have any experience with the private beach villas? Is it even worth it to fly all the way there and spend that kind of money if we aren't booking an overwater bungalow? Thank you for any suggestions
EDIT: We are also open to other places that have private walk out beach villas (which I can't really seem to find) that may be cheaper but still incredible for a honeymoon.
