We are planning our honeymoon trip for two weeks, from the end of May to early June, with the help of a travel advisor. The plan is to spend this time in Koh Samui and Koh Phangan in Thailand.
Our travel advisor mentioned that it might rain during this period, but it’s usually not too bad, and there are plenty of activities to enjoy regardless of the weather. However, we would like to hear your opinion or a second opinion based on your experience.
Is it typically very rainy during this time of year in these locations? If so, are activities like exploring street food, being outdoors, or swimming still feasible options? Or would you recommend avoiding these destinations during this period and suggest an alternative location or even another country?
Thailand appeals to us because of its diversity. We enjoy both active adventures and relaxing by the sea, and it’s important that the destination is safe for tourists. Good weather is also crucial for us during our honeymoon, as it would be disappointing if the rain significantly limited our plans.
We would appreciate your insights, especially if you can share your experience as locals or based on firsthand knowledge. Thank you in advance!
