Looking for a tropical relaxing vacation with city life as well?

Hello! We were looking into booking bora bora but nervous we may get bored since there’s no city yo walk around and shop. We’re looking for somewhere to travel with a mixture of both relaxing beauty and city life. We’ll be flying out from LAX and okay with flights around 10 hours or less. We’ve done Hawaii and want something further. All recs are appreciated !! Location as well as hotels you’d recommend end. I love the bungalow vibes or private pools but we need city life as well.
