Looking for advice

My fiancé and I are getting married in mid November and looking to do a 7 night honeymoon ideally somewhere in the carribean or Central America or South America. Our budget is 10k max but ideally it would be nice to get to 8k.

I’ve looked into a ton of the carribean islands and resorts and I just feel like the quality of the resorts for your money on not that great compared to some of the places I’ve been to in Mexico and Bahamas. To me having a really nice resort is important. But anything nice in for example st Lucia is 1500+ a night.

I’m wondering if there are any places we should consider that might be a bit cheaper to go to where we can get a really amazing experience for about 900 a night.

I think Mexico and the Bahamas fall into this category but I’ve already been and my finance ants to go somewhere new. What’s important to us is also nice beaches and clear water.
