Looking for affordable, stress-free honeymoon ideas (KY-based couple, beach + hiking vibes!)

Hi everyone! My fiancé and I are getting married on September 20th, 2025 (so we’re officially under the 2-month mark — ahh!). It’s been a bit of a wild ride planning this wedding — family drama, unexpected expenses, the whole thing — and we’re hoping our honeymoon can be the opposite of that: peaceful, affordable, and low-stress.

We’ll have the full week after the wedding to honeymoon, and we’re really trying to keep it budget-friendly — ideally under $3k total. We’d also like to stay within the U.S. to avoid the cost and stress of flying. We’re based in Kentucky, so we’re hoping to drive somewhere on the East Coast or nearby.

Our dream would be to find somewhere that balances both of our vibes: – I’d love to be near a beach with warm weather, ideally somewhere relaxing and maybe even a little romantic. – My fiancé is all about being in nature, hiking, or somewhere near a state or national park.

We’ve tossed around the idea of an all-inclusive resort, but we’re not sure if there are any good ones that aren’t super expensive or super far. Are there any hidden gems or budget-friendly honeymoon spots that give the relaxing “don’t have to plan anything” vibe — without breaking the bank?

Would love any personal recommendations, places you’ve been to that felt like a retreat, or even tips on how to honeymoon affordably while still making it feel special after the chaos of a wedding.

Thank you in advance 💛

Some details, if it helps: – Driving distance from KY preferred – Warm weather, near water if possible – Low-effort or all-inclusive options are great – Budget: around $3k max – Travel week: Sept 22–27, 2025 – We’re burnt out and just want to relax and enjoy each other 🥲
