I’m super overwhelmed trying to plan our honeymoon
My wife and I are hoping to do about 3 weeks total. Roughly 2 weeks in Thailand and 4–6 days in the Maldives. The Maldives part is where I’m really stuck with picking a resort and figuring out what’s realistic for our budget.
What we’re looking for in the Maldives:
- Overwater villa (Pool in the villa ideal but not a need)
- Floating breakfast
- Snorkelling (we’re beginners but really want to try)
- Nice spa / couples massage vibes
Ideally I’d like to stay under $1,000 CAD per night for the Maldives portion. Our rough dates are around Jan 15–20.
If anyone has resort recommendations that fit this, or tips on how to get the best value (packages, half-board vs all-inclusive, booking direct vs third party, etc.), I’d really appreciate it.
Also totally open to Thailand suggestions too: areas to stay, islands to pair with the Maldives, or must-do experiences.
