Looking for Honeymoon Recommendations – Summer/Fall 2025

My Fiancee and I (late 20s) are getting married at the end of May this year and are having trouble deciding on where to go for our honeymoon. We're flexible on when we can go, and ideally would like to travel for around 2 weeks in late Summer or Fall of this year. We've had family members offer to cover the cost of plane tickets as a wedding gift, so we're hoping to go somewhere outside the US and a perhaps further afield than we usually travel.

For context, we live near Boston, MA and our previous international trips together have been to Quebec, Portugal, Spain and Hungary. We're fairly experienced travelers but are hoping for this to be a more relaxed/comfortable trip. We're US citizens and my fiancee has dual citizenship with the EU as well. We speak Spanish and Bulgarian and can get by in simple conversation in Russian and Portuguese.

Our travel style is typically to pick destination cities and plan our stays and transport out in advance, but leave our day-to-day itinerary fairly open for relaxation, eating and wandering around. We aren't travelers particularly concerned with hitting major tourist sites or "bucket list" items.

Our ideal criteria are:

– Somewhere near an ocean with beautiful beaches, and not much rain in late summer/early fall

– Options for "mid-tier" hotels and short-term rentals like airbnb (2 or 3-star range, not necessarily discount lodging but not luxury either)

– Great food scene, including both sit-down restaurants and street food (we're not picky eaters and love trying new things)

– Walkable cities and towns

I would love ideas/suggestions for places to visit in any of the countries above, or any other countries, cities, or regions people have enjoyed traveling to!
