Looking for recs!

Hi! We are eloping this September and want to go on our honeymoon at some point between January and March of 2026. We are from Vermont so we would prefer to go somewhere warmer than VT, but not excruciatingly hot! We aren’t looking to sit on a beach the whole time.

Open to in the US and outside of the US depending on budget. Would likely be flying out of Boston.

We’re looking for about 5-6 days and around 8k for budget including flights. Here are some things we are looking to do:

• hiking (we are average hikers), would be open to some guided hiking and walking tours
• swim in natural areas opposed to pools such as waterfalls
• see native wildlife (birding, plants)
• local cuisine
• kayaking or paddle boarding
