Hi, sorry if this is a repetitive question, but I got married recently. It was a spur of the moment kind of thing.. and while we were getting back from the registry office he was asking if we could possibly go to Madeira (where his late mother lived last he knew) and then Portugal for our honeymoon. The honeymoon is the real fun, after all!
Of course I’d love that, but I really wanted to make it a special and meaningful experience for him that isn’t too … touristy and unenjoyable. We’re from England, he is English but he found out about his Portuguese heritage very recently and it’d be great if he could feel connected to the country. I’d also just appreciate some general tips or places to go, hostels, and especially gardens where we’d be able to see some beautiful flowers. He enjoys pretty much anything, real go getter that one. Just any advice about Portugal in general is welcome and appreciated.
