Maldives / Dubai between July – October? How bad was the weather?

Hey everyone!

My fiancé and I are getting married June 2026 and really want to honeymoon in the Maldives, with an extended layover in Dubai.

I understand summer is rainy season in the Maldives, and no one wants to be in Dubai during the summer.

We are definitely comfortable pushing out our honeymoon, but curious how people’s experiences were? Right now we are circling late September/early October

We’ve done tons of research and have mixed reviews. Some say storms last like 20 minutes and pass, others say it’s a washout. Maybe it is just a crapshoot?
