Maldives Resort

I’ve been looking at resorts for a honeymoon in the Maldives. I’m stuck between Cheval Blanc and the Ritz-Carlton. Any recommendations in which I should go to? Cheval Blanc’s islands look more extensive with the spa being on its own island. But, I read something about the transfer from the airport being $5,000 or something. I like that the Ritz has a modern feel to it, and has the transfer fee laid out in the price. Lastly, if I do end up doing the Ritz, do I do half or full board? For context, I’m planning to go in the beginning of September. Also, has anyone been in September, does it rain a lot?
