maldives vs mauritius in June?

Hi everyone!

I’m “eloping” in Italy in June this year and would love to honeymoon at a tropical destination with crystal blue waters. We’ve been to Bora Bora so we kind of wanted that vibe again.

Our budget is $6,000 for 4-5 days but are stuck between Mauritius and the Maldives. Maldives has a very Bora Bora vibe with the overwater bungalows but June is apparently rainy season so we could be risking a lot. What makes us not so worried is that storms tend to pass very quickly (if you’re lucky).

Mauritius is out #2 option and doesn’t have that Bora Bora feel, but it fits the budget and is still beautiful.

Which would you choose? 🙂
