May 2025 Honeymoon Recommendations

Looking for recommendations for a honeymoon in May of 2025.

Budget: 12k – 15k (would prefer to keep it at 12k, willing to stretch up to 15k)

Length: 7-10 days

Travel Info: Will be traveling from the East Coast (CLT). We strongly prefer to keep the flight time to less than 4 hours.

What we’re looking for: Relaxing tropical beach getaway with crystal clear water. We don’t care about doing a ton of activities, exploring a town, or doing really anything other than sitting on a beach or by the pool and consuming lots of good food and alcohol. We want to stay on the resort for the entirety of the trip. If the resort happens to have activities then great, if not then that’s not a problem. We’d like it to be as luxurious as possible. All Inclusive is ideal, but it’s not a deal breaker if the resort isn’t.

We originally considered the Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana and some of the other resorts in that area, but I’ve seen a lot of people say that the Sargassum situation is bad there and that would be a pretty big issue for us.
