We're getting married at the end of June, 2025 and looking for ideas on domestic locations for a shorter honeymoon immediately after the wedding.
Our perfect trip would include:
- budget of $5k or under
- 5 – 6 days
- within a 6 – 8 hour drive of Chicago
- slightly lux cabin/resort feel with limited people
- pool or lake to swim in (ideally a dock right outside our lodging)
- nice dining and drinking options onsite or nearby
For instance, Blackberry Mountain in Tennessee is so gorgeous but at nearly $2k a night, it's quite a bit outside our budget.
