Mixture of relaxation and adventure in July

We're honeymooning in July and I've been putting off planning for a while! We're looking to do about 10-12 days from mid-July of next year and have no idea where to go. We're beach people and want a nice beach with clear water at a resort or hotel that has very nice rooms (private hot tub / plunge pool huge bonus!). We like activities like tennis, golf, snorkeling, kayaking, etc., but we don't want to have the pressure of sight-seeing in a place like Europe (though we might entertain Greece). We spend a lot of our time on the beach just relaxing and enjoying good food in the area. We live in the US and don't want to go anywhere that would be more than an 8 or 9 hour flight, so Asia, Africa, Hawaii, etc. are off the table for us. A hotel with a more private room would be great. Any suggestions would be so appreciated!
