Need a last minute US honeymoon

I feel so dumb so please don't judge. My fiance and are planning our wedding during a really busy time in our livees and because of that, our honeymoon ideas are not going to be possible. We were hoping to go to an all-inclusive resort in Mexico but we are too late when it comes to getting passports. I know I should've done this earlier I just got so caught up with life. So because of that does anyone have any suggestions for places in the USA that can give a similar feel? Or even something totally different! We are trying to go somewhere Mid april so i don't have a lot of time. Right now i'm just pretty disheartened so anything helps. Oh and btw we live in san diego county in California. Thanks
