Need help planning our honeymoon – 3–4 weeks, adventure + ocean, $10k budget covered by family

Hey everyone!

My partner and I are starting to plan our honeymoon for December 2026, and we’d love some advice or inspiration. A family member is generously covering 10,000€ for both of us, but that would ideally only cover 2 weeks for a normal honeymoon. We’re hoping to stretch it to 3 (ideally 4) weeks — maybe by choosing more affordable stays, mixing luxury with budget options, or adding a bit of our own money.

We’re looking for a mix of adventure and relaxation, not just lying on a beach. We love the ocean, snorkeling/diving, and seeing marine life — but we also enjoy exploring culture, nature, and a bit of luxury here and there.

Some background: -We live in Spain. – We’ve already been to Indonesia (which we loved) and Tanzania this year. -So we’d like something that feels different. -One idea we’ve had is Japan + the Philippines or Japan + the Maldives (not in resort), but we’re not sure if that’s the best use of time/budget or the idea in general.

Basically: we’d love a destination (or combo) that offers adventure + underwater wildlife but still has some wow-factor honeymoon vibes — nice stays, beautiful settings, maybe some cultural or foodie highlights too.

Would love to hear your thoughts or itineraries that could fit this kind of trip. Where would you go for a 3–4 week honeymoon with that mix and budget?
